Castile soap is named after the Castile region in Spain. True Castile soap uses only olive oil as the base soap making oil. Castile soap is soap made from vegetables, so it’s milder on your skin and less prone to leaving behind residues that might build up on your skin.
Castile soap is one of the oldest forms of soap in the world. During World War I, a shortage of natural oils resulted in the development of synthetic detergents as a substitute for soap-making. Castile soap is often used as a hand soap in fine hotels, and the soap can also be used as a general body soap, a shampoo , or a general cleaner. Castile soaps can be used to wash clothes, scrub floors, bathe pets, and in a variety of other situations when something needs to be cleaned. Castile soap is amazing and can be used for many things, including the laundry soap recipe we provided.

Dr. Bronner – Castile Soap Review

I recently used this product to get sap off my car with no chemical residue left to remove. This product dissolves dirt. I put the product directly onto the sap and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Then I lightly sprayed the areas with water. I let it sit for about another 15 minutes or so. I used a terry cloth to rub off the sap. There were a couple of times where my fingernail came in handy, but if I had let it sit a little longer, I think it would have come off with less elbow grease. There was no telltale sign of any sap or the product left on my car. Just a nice clean car with the paint still intact. Great PRODUCT!!
