I bought two of these. Couldn’t beat the price. They’re little, regarding the scale of a pack of Trident or Dentine chewing gum. They come with a normal male USB to mini male USB cable. They work nice with my bit-screen media player. I couldn’t give them a Palm Pre rating as I don’t own a Palm however otherwise they are pretty good. Time can tell how long they will last but I assume they will have a charge-recharge cycle like several alternative Lion battery.

The one little downside to those babies is there is a switch that you have got to turn on when you are completely ready to use them as an extra battery. The instructions caution to recollect to turn the switch off when not in use to stop unintended discharge of the Lion battery. The switch is the reason for the four star “Ease of Use” rating. Maybe I am being picky however it is simply a little annoying having to recollect to flip that switch off. I’d suppose that they could have designed-in an auto-on sensor that may detect when the battery was attached to a tool and turn it on.

Once the unit is connected to your device and switched on there is a twin color LED that indicates the relative amount of power left in the Duracell battery. It’s green when full power is available and it turns orange when the ability is getting low.

My son tried one along with his iPhone and said it didn’t work. I do not see why it would not and haven’t had a likelihood to analyze however I believe he may have forgotten to turn on the ability switch mentioned above.
