I’m a soap lover. I used to go into stores and buy all kinds of exotic soaps just because I loved to use different kinds. I love the smell and feel of a good soap. What I’ve found out over time, however, is that nothing beats Dove Soap. It leaves my skin feeling soft without that filmy feeling that some soaps or beauty bars can leave.
It is gentle, works up a great lather and is gentle on the skin. I love its smell and never buy the unscented variety. For me, part of getting out of the shower is having that fresh soap smell that is so clean. Dove is as good as any expensive, exotic soap and I’m happy to stick with Dove.

One of his doctor’s (I forget which one) recommended the Aveeno oil for his skin and hair, and we’ve been using it for a few years now. Keeping skin moisturized in winter may feel about as easy as making a snowman stick around till summer, but it’s actually achievable if you rethink your routine. Get this: the formula contains a touch of menthol (just a touch), which gives it a little kick. I wouldn’t recommend you use them unless the regular Dove and/or competitors’ soaps cause you skin problems.

I have always used Dove hypoallergenic scent free soap, ever since a dermatologist recommended it to me as a teen. So I’m not into heavily scented soaps, but I decided to give this one a try. And I have to say the scent is just right, not too strong. I’m surprised someone would use the term pungent to describe the scent. It gives me a very fresh, clean feeling, with no lingering scents once I’m rinsed off. If I smell my skin afterwards, it just smells clean and natural. Dove is infused with moisturizer and is so mild that it will not strip away your own natural skin protection. The smell is so awesome that I left an unwrapped bar of Dove in my lingerie drawer as a sachet! And it lathers up real nice. I keep my head cropped pretty short, and it lathers so good that I use this on my stubble as a shampoo. Pretty much the only thing I use in the shower. It makes a great lather for shaving as well, haven’t bought shaving cream in years. Only downside is, you’ll go through these bars real fast as they tend to dissolve quickly.

If your skin is dry, but you still love to lather up with soap to get that really clean feeling, Dove Cool Moisture Beauty Bar is something you should give a try.
