This tea is best taken with milk and sweetened to taste to bring out the best flavor. Irish Breakfast tea is a strong, full-bodied decaffeinated black tea from the regions of Ceylon and Assam expertly blended with a hearthy flavor and delightful aroma.

Twinings Irish Breakfast Tea Review

I’ve been a strong black coffee drinker for 20 plus years, but had to quit drinking it due to problems with kidney stones. And I love my coffee! I looked for a substitute tea and couldn’t find a really good one until I tried Irish Breakfast Tea by Twinings. I have to say, this is a blend with a hearty “kick-you-in-the-teeth” welcome that truly does live up to its namesake. Exactly what I wanted in the morning for that “Off you go!” attitude to start my day.

My grocer quit stocking it, so I looked on-line and found it here, and for much less than what I was paying. One thing to note, if you do run low before the replacement stock arrives is to save the used tea bag and let it hang until completely dry. Amazingly it will make a second cup, naturally not as strong however, still pretty good in a pinch.

Don’t know about mixing stuff in it to tame the wild beast flavor. But, if you love your coffee black and thick, try this tea “raw”…this is the “MAD MAX” of teas.
