This is now the essential model that I started with and I’ve experienced several other models within the last a decade roughly. Wahl, Remington, Norelco, wet- dry models, an old fashioned mechanical do- hickey from an on- line ‘country’ shop, the el- cheapo as seen on TV(! ? ) model from the drug store, . . . I have even gone prehistoric and tried a couple nail scissors(I will not regale you with the gory details) . Together with every purchase I was hopeful that I discovered the holy- grail of the particular grooming device, however it wasn’t to be. None enhanced upon the Panasonic model. Consequently here I’m. I have gone full circle and bought this one for a second time.

What’s a wonderful personal groomer? Everybody has a ideal, I consider, yet a guy can dream. . . It would get sharp sufficient blades in order to weed- whack those silly little nose hairs with a couple passes, but not tug on that unattractive nostril hair, causing a paroxysmal sneeze. It might be waterproof, and so cleaning is easy. It might be solidly constructed and last a good very long time. (Who actually wants to waste their hard earned cash on yet another nose- hair trimmer? ) I could mostly see it! Sugar plums dancing in my head!

Unfortunately, the ER112BC falls short of this simple little dream. You must go backwards and forwards on a single spot several times and there can be those few, ever- so- stubborn little proboscis follicles that just will not leave without an extra going- over. This one is a more successful within the ear department, but still care have to be taken. And talking about taking care, very infrequently the small monster snags one of said nostril hairs and heaves it out, in a tweezer- similar to fashion. Besides the minor twang of pain, this provides me with an oddly awkward twitching sensation and contributes to a paroxysmal AAAACHOOOO! ! ! I’d that the full unit were water proof. It isn’t. However, you can simply take away the top, rinse, and let the top part air dry. I hope it did not feel so light and cheap in my hands. Yes. That’s how I lost my first one: I dropped it, it cracked, and took field trip to the landfill. Then the seek out trimmers galore. . . .

And yet, here I’m with the less- than- perfect but so- far- best- in- its- class model, the Panasonic ER112BC. It’s singularly serviceable, but not too posh and definitely not perfect. But until I find a greater model or do worse than go native, I’m stuck with this for greater or for worse. On reflection, it’s affordable and does the job. In reality, as long as I could tell, its lower than ideal performance is top in its class.

Subsequently I’m open to any recommendations. If you found a greater model or figured out a clever braiding technique to keep these blasted hairs from making an egress from their orifices, I’m all ears. Fortunately, those ears are without many danglers, thanks to Panasonic and its less- than- miracle machine.

I bought the Man Groomer Ear and Nose Hair Trimmer for $15 and it’s a great little grooming tool. Maybe it’s because I’m getting older but I’m growing hair in places that don’t look too cool (ears and nose). I’ve been snipping away with scissors but could not seem to do a decent job. The Man Groomer buzzes off those wierd hairs coming out of my nose without damaging the delicate tissue inside the nostrils. Does a nice job on and in my ears too. Anyway, two thumbs up for this product, only $15 and does a great job. You’ll only regret you didn’t buy it sooner.

I am not a pretty boy by any means, but you have to trim up your stuff these days. Got the back shaver and this for complete coverage and i am very happy with both. The charging takes a few hours beforee the first use but holds it for a lot of uses – almost a mointh. Not so sure what the previous reviewer meant byu it noit working, maybe try taking out the blade and putting it in again so it is lined up correctly and that should do the trick. i am very happy with this purchases.
