I’ve had the item for some months now and have gotten a lot of use out of it. I have to agree with most of the other reviewers, both bad and good. It is a powerful little vacuum and works GREAT on hard floors (we have ceramic tile, Pergo, and linoleum). It’s light weight and useful on stairs. On carpet it can suck up dust and debris, but can’t handle hair at all. The pet hair attachment is super useful, but as soon as the bag gets half full you lack the suction to use it.

The design is pretty poor. Cord storage is about as bad as having none at all. The power button is only convenient if you carry the thing around, which makes the wheels pointless. The hose and telescopic extension are good lengths, though the quality of the hose is poor. I’ve NEVER had a hose that was so flimsy and expect I’ll have to replace/repair it in short order. The cord is a little short for large spaces. The main body isn’t very maneuverable and falls over. Worst of all is the opening for controlling suction power. I’ve never seen anything so pathetic. It’s just a hole with a twist turn cover and even when it’s completely closed you can tell there’s no seal on it. Location of it makes it easy to open unintentionally.

Overall I’d say it’s great for someone in a small house or apartment with hard floors and a pet. But if you have kids or carpets you might do better to look elsewhere.

If you are like me, your home is mostly hardwood floors. Before I bought this, I was using a microfiber mop and water/murphy’s mixture. While it does a good job on the floors, the steamer by far “feels” cleaner. It doesn’t have a wow factor, but the subtle cleaning the steam mop provides certainly does a great job. My floors are spotless! And for those who complain about water/stain/streak issues, consider using filtered water. If you have hard water like me, it creates all sorts of issues, including lowering the lifetime of the mop. My only complaint are the pads that come with it. The pads have great texture, are thick, durable, but come on eureka, would it kill you to make them a little longer so that they don’t just barely fit? I fight getting these in a proper position everytime because they just barely reach the clips.

I’ve had my coffee maker for a while and the carafe ended up with a small crack so it was time to replace it. It’s a great carafe but has one design flaw that is easily fixable. I was reminded of this with the replacement that I bought, so we fixed it also.
When washing it in the dishwasher, the bottom of the handle is open and therefore retains water from the wash. Just a bit irritating. So we fixed it. All you need to do is drill a tiny hole in the top of the handle and the water will drain out of the handle when you wash it. The lid covers the hole. Easy! I guess Cuisinart never washed theirs when testing the product or they would have discovered this design flaw.

Best thing about the carafe is that it doesn’t leak like others when filling the coffee maker. (Yes, you can get it to leak if you are in a big hurry, but others leak no matter what you do)

Worst thing about the carafe is the handle fills up with water in the dishwasher. (one star penalty since it can be irritating!)

I’ll just come out and say it: I’m lazy. I love coffee in the morning, but I am the only one in my house who drinks it, and I only drink 1 (mayyybe 2) cups. Why would I mess with a drip maker, the grinds flying everywhere, the dirty paper liners, and a pot you have to clean out?

I am not a coffee purist. I do enjoy a pot of French press, of course, but I don’t think that’s the only way to make coffee. There are some fantastic K-cups out there that give you a cup of full-bodied, flavorful coffee. (Try Green Mountain Sumatran Reserve Extra Bold.)

This is quick, easy to use, and one of my very favorite kitchen appliances. It even has a removable bottom for my travel mug. Ingenious! Unless you’re drinking an entire pot of coffee per day, this is a GREAT investment! (And for the quality, it’s pretty darn cheap, if you ask me!)
