I’m not really a big Hershey Chocolate lover, however this item offers outstanding taste, I enjoy this little kisses at the bottom of the cup. Most excellent of all it’s 99% caffine free, particularly for kids or even at bedtime.

I’ve been a strong black coffee drinker for 20 plus years, but had to quit drinking it due to problems with kidney stones. And I love my coffee! I looked for a substitute tea and couldn’t find a really good one until I tried Irish Breakfast Tea by Twinings. I have to say, this is a blend with a hearty “kick-you-in-the-teeth” welcome that truly does live up to its namesake. Exactly what I wanted in the morning for that “Off you go!” attitude to start my day.

My grocer quit stocking it, so I looked on-line and found it here, and for much less than what I was paying. One thing to note, if you do run low before the replacement stock arrives is to save the used tea bag and let it hang until completely dry. Amazingly it will make a second cup, naturally not as strong however, still pretty good in a pinch.

Don’t know about mixing stuff in it to tame the wild beast flavor. But, if you love your coffee black and thick, try this tea “raw”…this is the “MAD MAX” of teas.

If you cannot do it, or do not have the time, then I would have to agree with a number of other reviewers here that this is by far the best black or dark tea that comes in bag form. It is the one I use early in the morning when I am in a hurry. It has a great kick to it and feeds my caffeine addiction wonderfully. Now don’t take me wrong, I love coffee too and certainly drink my share of the stuff, but coffee will never replace a good cup of tea in my book. This is also the tea I take with me on camping trips and backpacking trips; a time when you really need a kick in the tail to get you going and keep you going. The flavor is excellent. In the morning I use a bit of honey and cream in mine..to each his own taste, huh. Twinings makes a good product and this is some of their best.

I am a BIG fan of Starbucks and CoffeeBean’s Chai Tea Latte. And was so excited to buy this product hoping that it would replace my $4 habit. But I was dissapointed. Another reviewer that gave it a good rating stated that “it smells wonderful…tasting like a liquid pumpkin pie…Sweet, creamy and somewhat spicy”. Well, it is sweet and creamy but not spicy like my favorite Chai Tea Latte. It just doesn’t even come close to that taste…but I have convinced myself that even though I’m giving up on the taste, I’m saving at least $3 per cup if not more. And, yes, you can taste the splenda…and I can say that because I am a splenda fan. Overall, I only gave it a three star because it’s not a bad tasting item, but just not what I expected it to taste. Maybe the wonderful aroma alone could satisfy you…

Twinings was founded in London, England in 1706, and has a long and respected tradition of producing only the finest of teas. Now, one of the most popular of black teas is Earl Grey, which is a mixture of black tea and oil of bergamot (a small acidic orange). But, some people find Earl Grey a little overpowering. For them, Twinings has come up with a gentler blend named Lady Grey. Lady Grey is a blend of all oriental black teas, Seville orange and lemon peel, and just a hint of Bergamot.

OK, let’s get down to brass tacks – this is a great tea, an excellent tea, produced by a great company, and it just might become my new favorite. It has just about the same wonderful smell as Earl Grey, but its taste is much smoother. Plus, I must say that when iced, Lady Grey makes a delicious and refreshing drink. (As a word of advice, don’t add lemon to this tea, it is already flavored with citrus products, and I have found that lemon will simply overpower them.)

That’s my review. If you want a wonderful smelling and tasting black tea, then Lady Grey is for you. If you want tea from a great tea producer, them Twinings is for you. If you want a nectareous drink, then buy Twinings’ Lady Grey tea!
